The DA’s office spent much of 2026 attracting attention for graphics celebrating successful prosecutions with a level of enthusiasm normally reserved for grand openings, youth soccer championships, and mattress liquidations. One recent post announced a 40-year prison sentence for a convicted shooter using a cheerful kindergarten-themed design that collected tens of thousands of reactions.
The office has since expanded its creative portfolio. Potential criminals have been “warned” through graphics styled after Grand Theft Auto VI. Convicted offenders have appeared inside smartphone mockups. One promotional image reportedly depicted District Attorney Matthew Barton as a Jedi, suggesting that balance has finally been restored to the Force, at least within county limits and pending appeal.
