Thrift Store Begs Donors To Stop Donating Sex Toys

Inappropriate donations have left a Welsh charity store blushing due to the donations of “used and unused” sex toys. Barnardo’s, while happy that people are enthusiastically donating items, has since issued a plea for the public to only donate clothing and children’s toys instead.

This story takes us to the idyllic setting of Wales, where a charity-run thrift store has found itself in quite a sticky situation. And no, it’s not because they ran out of tape for their price tags.

You see, the Barnardo’s store in Gorseinon, Swansea, which supports the Barnardo’s children’s charity, recently had to issue a statement that could only be described as a desperate plea for sanity. They kindly asked their supporters to refrain from donating their “used and unused” sex toys. Apparently, the folks in Wales have been a tad too enthusiastic when it comes to cleaning out their bedside drawers.

In a statement that should probably have come with a “viewer discretion advised” warning, the charity store explained that they have a range of ages on their volunteer team and that they are, indeed, a children’s charity. So it’s safe to say that certain items should not find their way into their donation bins. But hey, at least they let us know they have CCTV, just in case they need to trace those items back to their owners. Can you imagine the awkward phone calls that would follow?

And it seems that this plea for common sense came after a series of inappropriate donations. Who knew that a charity store would be inundated with, um, intimate offerings? You can almost picture the poor volunteers opening up bags of donated goodies, only to find themselves face-to-face with items they’d rather not mention in polite company. I can only imagine the bewildered looks on their faces as they wondered, “Is this a children’s toy or a prop from an adult film?”

But fear not, dear supporters of Barnardo’s, because the store is still in need of donations. However, they kindly request that you stick to more traditional items like clothing and children’s toys. You know, things that won’t raise eyebrows or make the volunteers question their life choices. After all, there’s a time and place for everything, and a children’s charity thrift store might not be the most appropriate setting for a second-hand sex toy bazaar.

So, let’s all take a moment to appreciate the hardworking volunteers at the Barnardo’s store in Wales. They’ve seen things they can never unsee, and they’re just trying to keep their donation bins free of surprises. Remember, folks, when it comes to donating, let’s use our common sense and maybe keep our personal collections where they belong – in the top drawer of your bedside table.
