- A swimmer lost her custom-made prosthetic leg off the coast near Bridlington, England when a big wave swept it out to sea during an open-water swim last April.
- About 10 months later, the prosthetic washed up roughly 14.5 miles south near Atwick on the Holderness coast.
- A fossil hunter spotted the prosthetic on the beach, posted a photo on social media, and it was identified as belonging to the woman.
- The woman, who had been unable to swim since losing the $2700 limb, is now reunited with it and hopes to return to the water.
